AlternativeBanjo now on Twitter

Well I caved, I got a Twitter account for AlternativeBanjo. I figured I’d use for more informal, less banjo related items. I love discovering/hearing about obscure bands (listen to “Willow Tree”) or unbelievable mashups but usually it isn’t enough to warrant a blog post, so from now on I’ll use twitter for this instead. More importantly, I’ll be able to hear about the bands that you listen to and discuss the banjo.

I’ll probably tweet about such things as:

  • The whereabouts and projects of Sufjan, Bela and other banjo artists.
  • New bands that cater to the indie scene.
  • Any new tabs that are posted.
  • Really anything that needs to be shared.

I have been playing banjo, on and off, for 4 years now. I love indie/alternative music and also loved to play it. When I first got my banjo there weren't any tabs out there for Sufjan or Iron and Wine, so I tried to figure them out. Thus, the birth of alternativebanjo.
