Iron and Wine
Iron and Wine is a band that has become very popular in recent times. They play music that is reminiscent of old folk and country songs. Their name, Iron and Wine, describes the content that they sing about as well as how they present it.
Their songs are soft and flowing. They can be bitter or sometimes sweet. In this way it is like wine.
But some of their lyrics deal with hard concepts such as prison or death. This is used in contrast to their melodic music. One may say that this aspect of their music is like ‘iron’. Because sometime life can be hard and cold, like iron.
Thus, in conclusion, I believe Iron and Wine is named ‘Iron and Wine’ because they have both attributes that both iron and wine exhibit. And so this also contributes to their musical competence.
